a little history - i started this life long project "studio tangents - the life of a groove" sometime in 2008 or at least that's when i named the project..

i was recording random tangents when i got into my studio to play my drums..

i put visuals to these.. and plan on doing the same with the new tangents that are being made! stay tuned...

spring rain or mist? it seems like the rain is changing... feels like i should be walking along a beach with all this mist flying around..

here's another clip.. dumped from my work machine so it may not sound as nice as the one i did from home - i changed the way audacity records so it should use this machines sound card now..

no lunch

i didn't get to lunch work was to busy today.. when i got home tonight i set up audacity on my home machine.. and it actually records a lot better than from my work.. there's no clipping in the loop i made on the subway ride home!

i seem to like the funky clarinet sound this machine provides.. or maybe it's a mouth tuning fork... whatever it is.. it's pretty twangy!

the korg kaossilator has the root scale for cultures all over the world.. I used the Arabic root scale in C for this one... slowly learning how to pull in other notes and scales today..

I'll have another one ready after lunch!
